DUO cleaner: the key to back-flushing mode
The cleaner is a key component in DUO’s back-flushing operating mode, specifically designed for low-contamination materials.
In the back-flushing mode, DUO can be set to use metallic mesh filters instead of laser or punched filters, reducing the use of consumables and overall production costs.
Positioned between the 2 metallic mesh filters, the DUO cleaner ensures efficient filtration by completing several tasks at once. Here is how it works:
STEP 1
The contaminated plastic melt is conveyed inside the chamber, passing through 2 breakers and mesh filters facing each other.

The cleaner rotates, collecting impurities from both metallic mesh filters at the same time, and passing the contaminated material to the discharge screw.

The filtered material is simultaneously released from the filter chamber into the melt outlet and passed to the next part of the recycling process.
