DUO independent discharge screw: filtration with minimal waste
DUO is equipped with an independent discharge screw designed for the rapid and controlled removal of contamination. This feature ensures continuous filtration with minimal waste.
As plastic material is conveyed into the filtration chamber and passes through 2 screens, a scraper or cleaner collects contamination from both screen surfaces. The scraper’s core gathers the contamination and directs it to the independent discharge screw, which channels the waste to the outlet.
The discharge screw operates independently of the scraper disc, rotating at a different speed set by the operator based on the percentage of contamination.
The adjustable speed of the discharge screw allows it to handle even the most contaminated materials according to the customer’s requirements. Its independent operation minimizes waste and reduces disposal costs.
DUO discharge screw functions effectively in both scraping and back-flushing modes, ejecting contamination using laser and metal mesh screens.
