Bottles for liquid substances, especially foodstuffs, are mainly made of PET, polyethylene terephthalate. This material is particularly suitable for contact with foodstuffs, and is recyclable countless times.
Once the caps and labels, which are composed of different polymers, have been separated, washing the PET bottle is easy and allows regeneration, applying even very fine filtrations (below 150 microns).
Recycled PET can be used to make new bottles, building materials, textiles, designer furniture and household and kitchen utensils. It is therefore the material that best represents the concept of circular economy.
PET truly embodies the idea that plastic can have an infinite life!
