DUO Twin pairs 2 self-cleaning DUO filters on single line
DUO is a self-cleaning filter for plastics recycling that works at constant pressure. It uses a double screen to filter recycled plastic containing up to 15% contamination. DUO Twin combines 2 same-size DUO screen changers on a single recycling line. The line splits into a separate branch for each screen changer.
Screen changes no longer stop production
Each branch of the recycling line has a valve that controls the flow of plastic material. During normal production, material flows through both DUO screen changers. During maintenance, a valve closes the flow to one DUO, allowing the operator to clean or change its screen. Meanwhile, the other DUO continues filtering recycled plastic. The same process is then repeated on the other side. Throughout the process, the recycling line keeps running without stopping production.
DUO Twin doubles filtering capacity
The DUO Twin configuration doubles the production and flow rate of a single DUO. DUO Twin 5600 and 7000 filter flow rates of 10,000 and 12,000 kg/h, respectively. Single filtering machines reach a maximum flow rate of 6,000 kg/h. Each DUO helps maintain high product quality with minimal waste, supporting efficient plastics recycling operations.
